Naseba’s leadership forums are platforms for organisations and individuals to address business critical and socioeconomic issues. Bringing people together powers idea generation: acting on ideas has the capacity to change the societies we live and work in. But sometimes, understanding how to bring ideas to life comes with obstacles – how do you implement change within an organisation? Sarah has also been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year. Before founding her start-up, Sarah worked in the energy industry, responsible for over a billion dollars of development and construction projects and has lived across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Mashal Waqar is the co-founder and COO of The Tempest, a global women’s media company bringing forward real conversations. The Tempest has quickly grown to become one of the fastest-growing women’s media companies globally; in 2018, The Tempest’s articles were read over 45.2 million times. Mashal has experience in scaling, building effective content experiences, and in building diverse teams. She was featured in the 2019 Entrepreneur Middle East’s Achieving Women, and in 2019 Forbes Middle East 30 Under 30 for her work. She has also been awarded the Young Leader of the Year award at the 19th Global WIL Economic Forum.

Mashal is passionate about accessibility and intersectional growth for entrepreneurs in the startup ecosystem. She has given two TEDx talks, and is a frequent speaker on topics related to entrepreneurship, accessibility and inclusion, mental health, and women in tech. Mashal also sits on the advisory committee for NOMAD (A project by Al-Ahli Holding Group) and mentors founders at Sheraa (Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre) and Startup Weekend.

Dr. Upasana Gala is the founder and CEO of Evolve Brain Training, a Neurofeedback centered institute that focuses on using noninvasive brain training techniques to maximize the brain’s true potential. Earning a doctorate in Neuroscience from the illustrious Baylor College of Medicine, she has spent over a decade trying to unravel the way neurochemical and neurophysiological changes in the brain affect the way we interact with the world. This passion and curiosity for the subject have led her to make ‘the Brain’ her full-time vocation.

Dr. Gala is one of the few women in STEM in the UAE, working on promoting and actioning future-forward technology to help individuals and businesses alike reassess the way they think and perform. Her goal is to share her teachings, encourage others to tap into and expand their brain’s capabilities, and dispel any myths surrounding our most complex organ.

Ola’s is a very ambitions female leader, she has more than 16 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, with a diversified experience between commercial and marketing. She held many positions  in MSD, Novonordisk , Lundbeck and currently in Allergan.

She managed different therapy areas such as Cardiovascular, Diabetes, CNS, Medical Aesthetics, Eye care and Dermatology. Currently she held the position of Associate Director Strategic Marketing IMEA region “medical Aesthetics and Eye Care”, prior to that she was selected to work in Allergan International Head Quarter in UK leading JUVÉDERM® across the international markets (all markets expect USA), She launched a lot of new innovative products across these markets with a robust strategy to ensure access of innovative medication to patients. Ola is known with her strong scientific approach, tenacity and leading with influence, and before was leading Medical Aesthetics marketing in Middle East, North Africa region.

Based in Dubai, Judith has been in her position as HR Director for General Motors Middle East since September 2011. Her role was extended to include North Africa in October 2019. In this role, Judith spearheads a breadth of activities including people and organizational development, change management, leadership effectiveness, succession plans, performance management and talent acquisition, all directly contributing to the company’s success in the region.

Judith prides herself on driving the GM global culture ahead, one that supports and allows all employees to reach their full potential while harnessing the power that comes with diversity in business. Her collaborative and integrated approach is a key player in the growth witnessed at GM Middle East over the last few years.

A strong advocate for equal representation of men and women across the organization, Judith has actively led strategies to ensure Gender Balance is embedded at every level across the GM Middle East business. In her current role, she works closely with leadership teams to attract, engage, retain and develop great individuals that will ultimately drive GM’s performance forward and create a winning culture across the workplace, as well as engaging with the wider industry at the American Business Council.

This year, GM Middle East was named fifth in Best Workplace for Diversity and second for Best Gender Diversity Leader (Judith) at the 2019 Break the ceiling touch the sky® Leonie Awards.

Judith has been with General Motors for 19 years, starting in 2000 at GM Venezolana (Venezuela) as an intern and hired as a Salaried Personnel Supervisor in 2001. In 2004, she relocated to GM Colmotores (Colombia), before moving to the Middle East in 2008. These moves saw Judith grow from the HR Business Partner and Training Coordinator. Later on, she took on the role of Organizational Development Supervisor before specializing in Change Management and then reaching the role of Compensation, Benefits and Policy Supervisor, all within a ten-year span.

Her responsibilities in these roles covered researching, establishing and maintaining the company’s compensation system, staying updated with the competitive markets for employee pay and benefits, handling employee benefits and reward systems as well as administrating HR policies, procedures and programs.

Judith obtained her Bachelor Degree in Industrial Relations from Universidad de Carabobo and completed her Masters in Talent Management at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. In parallel, Judith took part in several coaching workshops focusing on management coaching habits, including Michael Bungay Stanier – Box of Crayons training and Zenger Folkman leadership coaching certification. She is also holds a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) certification. Judith is the mother of triplets, two girls and one boy, who make sure to keep her schedule busy outside of the office!
