H.E. Abdul Latif bin Omar Al Shaikh
He holds a bachelor degree in civil engineering from King Saud University. In 1436 A.H, H.E. became the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and prior to that he has worked for leading companies, including The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh (KSA), Of-Orbos Consultancy (UK), CRS Consultancy(USA), and Embassies district development by The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh, Head of ADA's projects and planning center on 1412 A.H.

He was also a member of various committees, councils and bodies such as, Chairman of advisory board, king Salman Center for Local Governance; member of International Society of City and Regional Planners; The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh; the high commission for projects and planning of Riyadh; member of Historical Addir'iyah Development Program committee; the supreme committee for the development of Thumamah Park; Environmental Protection Committee in Riyadh; Road safety committee in Riyadh; Member of Centennial Celebrations Preparatory Committee, member of the board of Tourism development of Riyadh.

He was also credited with King Abdul Aziz 2nd Decoration class.
HE Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulhadi bin Mohammed  Al Amri
He holds a bachelor of civil Engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh, and a Master of Local Administration in municipality and rural community’s administration from Institute of Public Administration, KSA. He has held several roles during his career, including:

Director of technical affairs at the Northern Borders Region from 1/7/1417 A.H till the end of 1417 A.H

Mayor of Rafha from 1418 A.H to 30/05/1431 A.H

Mayor of Tabuk – 3/06/1431 till 29/06/1437 A.H

And he is the Mayor of Madina since 30/07/1437 A.H
H.E. Abdulrahman Al Mansour
Mr. Abdulrahman started working at MOMRA as a public health specialist on 1979, then he became a Director, a General Manager, assistant Deputy, later he became the f Deputy Minister for Municipal Affairs.

Mr. Abdulrahman is a member of various permanent committees including:
- Committee of solving commercial fraud issues (Ministry of Industry and Trade) (1991 -2005)
- Patients’ Friends Committee, Riyadh Chamber (1990 -2005)
- Saudi Society for Food Science, King Saud University
- Deputy of Saudi Society for Food Science

Scientific and Practical Contributions:

Mr. Abdulrahman participated in many environmental studies that helped making development planes to save the environment, which also led to issuing a number of regulations and orders like the unifying rules and regulations regarding environmental health, and regulations and health requirements for the licensing activities related to public health, and municipal solid waste management system and its related executive regulations. He also worked on studies about implementing recycling to get rid of this type of waste, and monitoring disease outbreaks in the Kingdom through a phased program to end up covering the whole country.

Mr. Abdulrahaman participated in many workshops organized by Environmental Protection Agency , and in and ecosystem management course.

He was also the head of many scientific committees and NPCs. He was a member of a number of scientific and organizing committees.
H.E. Prof. Hani Mohammad Aburas
Dr. Aburas is an industrial engineer by training. He has over twenty years of experience in private and public sectors. In 1995, he joined King Abdul Aziz University as a lecturer and later became an Associate Professor. He has served Jeddah Municipality since 2005 and later became Deputy Mayor. He has served as Secretary General at JCCI and as an Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry. In 2010, he became Mayor of Jeddah and in 2014, he was nominated on the World Mayor’s list.

He is committed to providing citizens with improved infrastructure. He recently implemented a major public transportation program for metro, tram, water ferries, buses, bridges and stations. He is encouraging private-public partnerships (PPP) to provide projects for housing, commercial development, leisure and recreation.

Dr. Aburas holds a PhD from Central Florida University.
H.E. Dr. Osama Bin Fadhel Al-Bar
Dr. Al-Bar was appointed as the Mayor of Holy Makkah Municipality in 2007. He previously served as Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj Research, and as the Deputy General Manager of the Hajj Research Centre at Umm Al-Qura University. He holds key positions in several committees in Saudi Arabia, including Chairman of the Hajj and Umrah Focus Group Council of the Makkah Region, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Balad Al-Ameen, Deputy Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Supreme Commission for the Development of Makkah Region and Team Leader of the Quality in the Umrah Sector at Saudi Arabian Airlines, Rabi Al-Akhir. Dr. Al-Bar has multiple publications to his name, including articles in Renewable Energy Magazine and Solar Energy Magazine, as well as a paper presented at the First Environmental Conference of Saudi Arabia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from King Abdulaziz University, a Master’s degree in Physical Meteorology from King Abdulaziz University, and a PhD in Environmental Physics from the University of Nottingham. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in “Infrastructure in a Market Economy” from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
H.E. Eng. Fahad bin Mohammed Al Jubair
His Excellency Engineer Fahad Mohammad Al-Jubair has been the Mayor of the Eastern Region since 2013. He has over 33 years of experience in the field of municipal business, with both technical and administrative experience. He also manages many development and infrastructure projects, which has given him deep experience in sustainability and social responsibility issues.

His Excellency holds Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Saud University, and a Diploma in Advanced Project Administration from Arizona University.

He is a member of the many prestigious committees and associations, including the Saudi Society of Engineers, the Society of Civil Engineers in the United States of America, and the Roads Association in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Ismail Al Ghamdi
Mr. Al Ghamdi, a Harvard Business School alumni, has held his current position as Chief Business Officer at Mobily since 2014. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Sehati and the National Company for Business Solutions (NCBS), Mobily’s subsidiary company. His primary responsibilities include actively overseeing the business unit’s performance, solutions, growth and revenue covering all enterprise aspects.

With almost 20 years of experience, Mr. Al Ghamdi has profound knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market and information technology, including software, hardware, services, networking and networking applications. He is equally effective in the public and private sector across diverse industries.

Prior to joining Mobily, he held leading positions with major blue chip multinational companies, including Microsoft and Cisco System. During his tenure at Mobily, Mr. Al Ghamdi became a board member of Mobily Ventures and Mobily InfoTech India Pvt Ltd.
Younus Al Nasser
Mr. Al Nasser is the Assistant Director General of the Smart Dubai Office, guiding the efforts to transform Dubai into the world’s smartest city by 2017. He is also the CEO of the Dubai Data Establishment, part of the Smart Dubai Office, charged with overseeing the implement of the Dubai Data Initiative, the most ambitious data initiative globally, and fostering a culture of data sharing in Dubai. Prior to that, he was a Director of Projects and Security Systems at Dubai Electronic Security Centre, implementing Agile and Lean methodologies in project management, and a member of the Dubai Open Data Committee, which was formed in November 2014 with a Decree from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoom to deliver Dubai’s Data Strategy, Data Road Map and Data Law.
Dr Hernani Dias
Mr. Dias is the Mayor of Bragança. He previously served as President of the Parish Council of Sendas between 2001 and 2009.

He was appointed Delegate Regional of the Portuguese Youth Institute (Delegation of Bragança) between 2003 and 2005. In the 2009 municipal elections, he was elected as a full-time Councilman, responsible for the areas of urban planning, equipment, social housing, youth and sports. Since 2009, he has served as the Chairman of the Directorate of Bragança Live Science Centre.

He was elected Mayor of the Municipality of Bragança by an absolute majority in the local elections held in 2013 and took office that same year.

He is married and lives in Bragança with his wife and two children.
Olof Zetterberg
Mr. Zetterberg is a lawyer and the CEO of Stockholm Business Region, a position he has held since January 2007. He holds has a Master’s degree in Law and has worked for the City of Stockholm since 1981. He has previously served as CEO of Stockholm Parking.

He started his career as a Revenue Manager at the Department of Social Services, and thereafter worked as Administrative Director of Social Services in the social district of Katarina-Sofia in Stockholm. Since then, he has also served as Refugee Coordinator for the City of Stockholm, Director of Social Services in Bromma, Director of Recreation, Culture And Sports, Director of City Planning and Director of Traffic And Real Estate.
Muammar al Khateeri
Eng. Al Katheeri joined Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) in April 2006 as the Director of the Planning and Construction Management Department, enriching DSOA with his wide knowledge and experience in construction and project management. He was subsequently appointed as the Chief Planning and Construction Officer.

In 2010, DSOA saw the need to merge the Planning and Construction Department with Operations and Facilities, under one leadership. Based on this decision, Eng. Al Katheeri was appointed the Executive VP of Engineering Management. In 2014, he was appointed the Chairman of the Smart City Project Committee at Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Prior to joining DSOA, he worked with major real estate companies in the UAE, including Emirates Real Estate Corp. There, he served as Projects and Maintenance Director, working on major projects including: Ministries complex project AUH, Ministry of Education DXB, Ministry of Public Works DXB, Ministry of Labor DXB, UAE Embassy in Germany, UAE Consulate in Munich, UAE Embassy in Australia, and many other prestigious projects.

He holds a Master’s degree in Innovation & Change Management from Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Al Ain University.
Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah
Dr. Abdullah previously served as the Assistant to the Mayor for IT at Holy Makkah Municipality. Since 2009, he has been an Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz University. He has also worked as an IT and Process Reengineering Project Manager at the Presidency of Metrology and Environment.

He was appointed Deputy Director of the TQM program at King Abdulaziz University in 2007. He was the Alnahdi Medical Company Acting IT Manager in 2006 and the Vice Dean for Distance Learning Deanship at King Abdulaziz University from 2004 to 2005.

  He holds a PhD in IT from George Mason University, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from George Washington University, and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from King Abdulaziz University. He is certified in ISO 900, ISO 27001 and Six Sigma Green belt. Additionally, Dr. Abdullah is a European Foundation Quality Management (EFQM) accredited Assessor, and holds a USA patent: US 8, 086,744 B2, 2011.
Allam Ahmed
Professor Ahmed is the Founding President of World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD). He is also the Founding Director of the Middle Eastern Knowledge Economy Institute (MEKEI) at University of Brighton Business School. He held several senior lecturing appointments in Edinburgh, London and Sussex Science Policy Research Unit, where he established and led the MSc International Management program.

His work has been featured and archived by the World Bank, the United Nations, the European Commission, several governments and prestigious universities. He has served as an Expert Advisor to the European Commission on International Scientific Cooperation, International Co-ordinator at UNESCO Chair on Transfer of Technology (UNESCOTT), and as an Advisor to the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).

He holds a Ph.D. in Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Development from Edinburgh Napier University. He is the recipient of the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) Scholarship and Prestigious Book Prize for Best MSc/MBA Dissertation.

He is a Fellow and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the recipient of several awards and medals for contributions to international scientific research. He was listed in Who's Who in The World 2009-2015, Who's Who in Finance and Business 2009/2010, and Who's Who in America 2012.
Prof. Abdullah Al Garni
Dr. Abdullah Algarni is a Professor at King Saud university in the Civil Engineering Department. He is recognized as the “Father of GIS in Saudi Arabia”. He is considered among the first to promote GIS for use in the Kingdom. He is a member of the GIS Saudi National Specification Committee, and Chair of the Spatial Data Standards and Specification Working Group.

His contributions have led the Saudi government and other key entities to give him numerous awards, such as: Cer tificate of Recognition for working with Bechtel Company on the project of King Khalid International Airport and Certificate of Recognition for working with Petrola International S. A. He was awarded by the Ministry of Farming and Irrigation as the best author of the research paper “Consulting Water Consumption in the Country”. He received the Edward Dolezal Award from the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing; a Certificate of Support in Austria; and an official letter of acknowledgement and thanks from the Ministry of Defense and Aviation’s Military Survey Department (MSD) for being a consultant for them for one year(1993).

Dr. Algarni is currently a member of the Saudi National GIS Committee in which his strengths within the market, technical knowledge, high energy, and ability to predict where the geospatial industry is heading helped him assemble both strategic and tactical countrywide solutions that have added great value to the national GIS strategy.

He started DarGeomatics in 2010, and quickly grew it to become the leader of geospatial services in the Kingdom. The company rapidly won key accounts and nationwide initiatives such as the Smart City Project, the National GIS Training Center, Flood Prevention Projects for all Saudi Airports, and many others.
Thamer Al Harbi
Mr. Alharbi is the Country Manager for Oracle Saudi Arabia. He joined Oracle in 2014 and has over 13 years of experience in the technology transformation and consultancy industry. Over the course of his career, his main focus has been on the financial services market across the Middle East. He has served on the transformation committees of over 20 banks within the region.

He was previously the Middle East Regional Manager for Temenos, where he drove the company’s strategy in the Middle East to yield continuous growth and market share domination. During this time, he established a specialized Islamic banking development center that served clients globally. In 2011, he was named “Top Performer of the Year”.

Prior to joining Oracle, he was the FSI Sales Director for the Middle East at Accenture, where he led strategic consultancy programs in the region. In addition, he was the T24 and Odyssey lead for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

He has been featured in multiple publications as an interviewee and contributor.
Dr. Ghanem Al Mouhammedi
Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom (1999) He started working at the Ministry of Defense in 1986 and led dozens of large construction projects. over the years he held several positions at the Ministry of Defence until 2005, where his last position was the Director of Engineering Department at General Directorate of Military Works. Dr. Ghanem led and monitored the designs of more than fifty mega projects worth billions of riyals and he worked on developing detailed designs and executing plans. He won several awards including; workmanship award granted by the late prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense and Aviation

In the following three years (2005 - 2008) Dr. Ghanem moved to work at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, where he served as assistant manager and advisor to the department of transport, infrastructure and logistics. He helped attracting foreign companies to invest in the infrastructure and transportation sectors in the Kingdom. This included the supervision and discussing the economic studies and strategic plans and converting these studies into real plans to enhance investment opportunities.

Between (2008 - 2014) Dr. Ghanem worked for Pan Kingdom Invest. Co. (PKI) as a board member and deputy of the Chairman.

Currently, Dr. Ghanem is the Special Adviser for the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Chairman of the Center for Achievement of Objectives and Head of Municipal Information Center. Dr. Ghanem is also the official representative for the National Transformation program at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, which is led by Council of Economic and Development Affairs
Abdulaziz Al Mohimeed
Abdulaziz M. Almohimeed is the Director General of Real Estate, Municipalities and Urban Planning at the Economic Cities Authority. He has 15 years of professional experience working for leading private and government entities, in real estate development & regulations, municipal/ infrastructure engineering including cities and mega and complex development projects master planning.

Within ECA, he manages the master plans of the Economic Cities and the establishment of development and approval process including selection of master planners and peer reviewers, and creation of land use and development standards and design guidelines to ensure that the Economic Cities Authority’s goals and objectives are achieved.
Ali Alomran
Mr. Alomran is a technology and banking executive with over 20 years of achievements in technology, banking, and investment. He brings wide banking knowledge and a distinguished record in delivering enterprise banking solutions.

In 2004, he joined Arab National Bank (anb.com.sa) to lead designing and delivering IT solutions for all banking services. He is a member of several product and technology executive committees. In 1993, he started career at Banque Saudi Fransi, where he worked in retail, headed IT development, and led international brokerage.

He is regular speaker at regional finance and technology conferences.
Eng. Ibrahim A. Alshaye
Eng. Al-Shaye began his career in the General Administration of Military Works within the Ministry of Defence and Aviation. Since 1993, he has worked at the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh.

His previous roles include Deputy Director of Urban Strategic Planning, and Chairman of the Technical Committee for Environmental Protection in Riyadh. He has contributed to local and global seminars and conferences.

Eng. Al-Shaya has a great deal of experience in water planning studies, sustainable development issues, environmental and urban planning, environmental assessment, region development studies, GIS and public utility studies.

He holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and a Master in Civil Engineering from King Saud University.
Yassin Alsuroor
Mr. Al Suroor has 20 years of experience in leading multinational companies, 4 years of experience as a government investment advisor, and 6 years of experience in successful project development on BOT, PPP, and BOO concepts.

He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Arab Economic and Business Group. In addition, he is a member of the following boards: Al Jomaih Energy Ltd Co., Ranhill Arabia Contractors Ltd. Co., RAM E&I Ltd. Co., TOTALSOFT Ltd. Co., Prime Cosmos Assets Ltd., Cosmos Capital Group Ltd., RHR Hotels and Resorts, and HEISCO (Heavy Engineering Industries and Ship Building Company).

Mr. Al Suroor has also served as President of the Digital Economy Commission and a member of the Energy Commission at the ICC in Paris.
Nizar A. Al Twaijri
Mr. Al Twaijri has been in the banking industry for more than 15 years. He is presently the Deputy Head of Corporate Bank – Arab National Bank. He is also a Board member of Al Arabi Heavy Equipment Leasing Company.

He is a strategic leader possessing organizational development and re-engineering expertise, a keen aptitude for team building and human capital development, and business expansion competence.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine.
Eng. Mubarak Bin Ashban
Eng. Mubarak Bin Ashban is Business Development Expert at Saudi Telecom Company with over 14 years of technology and business development experience. He is experienced in the fields of smart cities, database management, and network planning and management.

Since 2003, he has headed the National Centre for Educational Information in the Ministry of Education where he plans, designs, implements and operates several ICT services and projects. Currently, he is working to develop new ICT business opportunities to transform the cities around the Kingdom into smart cities by building the capabilities, partnerships and technology.

Eng. Bin Ashban holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science & Engineering from King Saud University.
Dr. Tarek Attia
Dr. Attia is a Project Management Consultant and Associate Professor with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He is currently working as a PMO (Project Management Office) Director and Consultant to MOMRA.

He received his Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management at North Carolina State university, USA in 2002. He also received Bachelor ’s and Master ’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Cairo university, Egypt.

He is currently leading a consultancy project to develop the project management unit at MOMRA and to support all municipalities in developing their PMOs. He has professional consulting, academic research, and academic teaching experience in the USA, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Attia has led several PMO (Project Management Office) development projects in Riyadh, Dammam, and Makkah. He is an active member of the Egyptian Project Management Code development committee. He received PMP certification in 2006 and has taught the PMP certification course numerous times in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, united Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. He was also a guest speaker for several Project Management Institute conferences and forums. He has published 10 research papers in local and international conferences and journals, and has supervised several Master and PhD research studies.
Dr Bassem Younes
Dr. Younes led the Mohamad Bin Rashid School of Government (previously known as Dubai School of Government) through a major crisis and change management exercise. Prior to this, he acted in a consulting capacity to several higher education institutions in the UAE. In 2004, he established the first specialized outfit in the UAE to offer services in this regard and to advise on future and niche academic programs and research areas.

His role as a Chairman of the Civil Engineering Committee of the UAE Society of Engineers and a member of the Society’s Technical Committee helped him build a wide network of valuable contacts and professional relations. He serves on several committees at both college and university levels.

Dr. Younes has presented a number of technical papers in national and international conferences and professional journals. He has also published a number of commissioned reports, which have been used as a reference in public enquiries and parliamentary discussions in the UK.

He has participated in many international conferences and seminars on transportation planning and traffic management, as well as safety and security conferences and symposiums in Egypt and the USA.
Andreas Baumgartner
Dr. Andreas Baumgartner is a partner of Tony Blair Associates (government advisory), focusing in particular on the Middle East, Central Asia, and Central/Eastern Europe. Tony Blair Associates provides advice and support to leaders around the world, working with governments on the path of reform for the benefit of all citizens and facilitating the successful implementation of ambitious reform and development strategies through technical expertise, political judgement, an understanding of effective government machinery, and experience of delivery. Before joining the Office of Tony Blair and Yony Blair Associates, he worked for McKinsey & Company.

Initially based in Europe, he moved to the Middle East in 2006. His client work has focused on (i) economic development, (ii) infrastructure, tourism, and logistics, and (iii) regulatory and labour topics as well as public sector reform.
Omar Bondogji
Mr. Bondogji is a Silicon Valley senior executive with an entrepreneurial background coupled with 25 years of experience in mobility innovations, hi-tech, transportation, rail, environment, smart cities, urbanisation, sustainability, environmental solutions, Internet of Things (IoT), strategic planning, general management, and in heading PMO offices.

Prior to joining QMIC, he spent most of his professional career in Silicon Valley, working with a range of companies including startups and enterprises in the fields of high-tech, data analytics, and informatics. In 2009, he joined QMIC in its infancy stage and led the business and marketing department. In his current position at QMIC, he is leading key functions such as deploying smart city services, intelligent municipality and urban planning services such as traffic management, connected vehicles, commercial fleet management, IoT platforms, traffic modeling, smart parking, environmental innovations, and other smart city solutions.

Mr. Bondogji received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M, and attended a Master’s program at California State University.
Tarek El-Sheik
Dr. El-Sheikh has more than 21 years of experience in housing and urban development policy formulation, training, advisory services and project implementation.

He is currently the Regional Representative for Gulf States in the Kuwait Office for Arab Cities, and Director of the UN Habitat Program in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. El-Sheikh also contributed to the preparation of the State of Iraq Cities Report, Iraq Housing Market Assessment, Iraq Housing Policy, Egypt Urban Development Strategy and led several urban development initiatives in the Arab region. He has trained professionals from various Arab states on land development and informal settlement upgrading. He has also authored a number of publications and articles in international journals.

Dr. El-Sheikh is a member of a number of international, regional and national networks and groups – including the British University Graduates Association, the European Network for Housing Research, International Society for City and Regional Planners and The Eisenhower Fellowships Network.

He gained his Ph.D. from Cairo University and holds a Master’s degree in Development Administration and Planning from University of Bristol, as well as a Master’s degree in Community Development from Cairo University.

Mr. Guevara is a seasoned consultant specialized in the field of innovation management and strategy execution. Eng. Wajdi M. Haider
Eng. Haider is the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) for Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company, a company established by Jeddah Municipality and co-owned by Jeddah Municipality and The Public Investment Fund. Dr. Tarek Hamade
Dr. Hamadé’s experience covers applications in construction, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources systems engineering, as well as project management. He has worked extensively on: construction and engineering management of complex projects; design of integrated site surface water control and containment structures (including design of ditches and settling basins); seasonal operation of inter-connected water reser voirs; risk assessments for dams and basins; site infrastructure development for capital expansion projects; and capital and operational project management support.

He has led scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed engineering and constructability review studies, as well as geotechnical investigations and borrow pits studies. He is experienced in developing and implementing cleanup operations on heavily contaminated sites, and devising conceptual site models and site investigation for sites with contaminated surface water and groundwater. He has previously provided construction supervision, including on sites involving deep foundation engineering, and conducted write-ups for permits.

Dr. Hamadé implements an integrated analysis approach to project operations during all design and construction phases.

Abraham Akkawi
Abraham leads Ernst & Young Middle East Transaction Advisory Services Government and Public Sector. He transferred from EY Canada in April 2008 where he was leading the Infrastructure Advisory Services in Québec and Eastern Canada. In his role in the Middle East, he provides leadership to all the offices and ensures that the highest quality of services is provided. Harry Verhaar
Harry Verhaar has over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry, and is Head of Global Public & Government Affairs for Philips Lighting. He is responsible for the strategy, outreach and stakeholder management on energy & climate change, resource efficiency and sustainable development, with a key focus on the role of the LED lighting revolution.

He has since the end of 2003 been the architect of the lighting strategy on energy and climate change, which has resulted in a global momentum on phasing out of old lighting technologies.

He is an active member of a number of partnership and stakeholder networks, among which The Climate Group; Regions20 and the World Green Building Council and is a member of the Advisory Boards of The Lisbon Council and the Global Cities Institute (and their World Council on City Data). He is responsible for Philips’ relationship management with the UN and the World Bank and is a founding member of UNEP’s en.lighten program and the SE4All’s Global Energy Efficiency Accelerator Platform. He is chairman of the European Alliance to Save Energy and is president of the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association.

Roberto Wyszkowski
Mr. Wyszkowski is an experienced practitioner and lead trainer in the field of strategy execution, strategic planning and performance management. Over the last 15 years, hehas trained and coached hundreds of managers in both for profit and non for profit organisations around the world.

Dr. Al-Orainy currently serves as the advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and the Director General and Member of the Steering Committee of e-Government Program (Yesser). Furthermore, he is the General Supervisor of the Digital Excellence Award and voluntary Chief of the IT Committee for the Disabled Children Association. He also serves as a member of the High Commission for the Development of Riyadh and as board member of Saudi Post.

He headed the CIT team for the Riyadh Economic Forum in 2015 and previously held several positions at King Faisal Air College including Chief of Research, Development and Information. He also served as a board member of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority Technology Areas, the Saudi Computer Society and the Saudi Chartered Accountants Association.

He served as an advisor to the civil defense, joint forces and air forces sectors during the Gulf War, and the girls’ education department of the Ministry of Education. Dr. Al-Orainy holds a PhD from Denver University in Information Systems and Higher Management, and a leadership certificate from Oxford University.
