Lama Khaiyat is a Private Sector Development Specialist in Saudi Arabia, designing policies and strategies that aim at growing the non-oil private sector. Lama has previously worked in Management consulting serving both the government and the private sectors in the Middle East and North Africa. Her most notable work in consulting was revolved around regional strategies for job creation not only in the GCC but also in Tunisia.

 

Ever since she was a child, Lama has been passionate about social inclusion. Being raised by a disabled man who broke every stereotype of what disabled man can achieve professionally and personally, Lama raises the question on the notion of “ableism”, that’s the reason she has launched the Accessibility 2.0 initiative that started in Oxford in 2017. She is also active in women development and was the Vice President of the Oxford Women in Politics student association.

Lama holds a Bachelor Degree in International Business from Grenoble Ecole de Management and a Master degree in Public Policy from The University of Oxford.
