Demand for cyber security in Qatar has grown multifold after the most recent attacks.
Critical sectors in Qatar – including but not limited to finance and energy – have increased their dependency on technology and state of-the-art ICT solutions to deliver high-quality, efficient, and effective services. With Qatar’s Advisory (Shura) Council unanimously approving the draft of a landmark new data privacy law, companies are now required to increase their level of data security and protection against cyber threats. Failure to do so could result in hefty fines of up to 1.37 million USD (5 million QAR).
The 9th Cyber Defence Summit will address the importance of protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive information, and help companies procure cyber security solutions and ser vices. Organised by Naseba, the summit will gather over 120 CIOs, CISOs and Heads of IT and Security primarily from government agencies, defence and security authorities, banking andfinancial institutions, oil and gas companies, utilities, telecom and ISPs, large enterprises and universities.
Majority of the attendees were decision makers and key influencers. We are confident of doing business with them soon.Associate Vice President, Spire Solutions
